Filling Out Information

You can log into the application as many times as you need to before you submit it. Last year, applicants logged in an average of 23 times before they submitted their applications. Usually online applicants complete their biographical details first, and then work on their essays separately.

If you need to go back and change something, such as your mailing address or work experience, you can do that at any point before you submit your application.

When you fill out any form online, please be aware of the security implications involved. The Uncommon Application website and the Office of College Admissions will never share your personal information with any third party, but you may inadvertently do so by leaving yourself logged in. When you are done working on your application, always be sure to save and logout, and then quit your internet browser for good measure. For security purposes, the application will automatically logout after 90 minutes of inactivity (though you will lose any information you haven't saved).
